REACH

Chemical companies are responsible for the safe handling and use of products they manufacture. Feralco Environnement SAS, actor in water treatment, is particularly concerned. We care about safety and environmental protection regarding all aspects related to product we deliver: raw material - manufacturing process - finished product - end use.
But our commitment does not end there. We took part to the Iron/ Aluminum salts consortium which aim was to satisfy the requirements of REACH registration by October 2010, for products manufactured at a rate of over 1000 tons per annum. As part of the consortium, we conducted extensive studies to establish toxicological and eco-toxicological data for our products. Toxicological and eco-toxicological tests shown that our products, even when used at very high concentrations, have no toxic effect on humans and no negative effect on the environment.
At a time when REACH legislation requires the registration of chemicals for the control of chemical risks, Feralco complies with regulations.

The REACH Act

REACH is a European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006). It deals with the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances. It involves registration with the European Chemical Agency of any chemical substance manufactured or marketed in Europe.
According to REACH, every Chemical Producer / Importer must assume full responsibility for its products throughout the supply chain: from raw material supply down to final product delivery or product use on customer's site. This does not only mean ensuring product is harmless as such, but also in the context of all its uses. Then chemical risk assessment was carried out and formalized in the form of a report (CSR: Chemical Safety Report) for each use of our products.
Wishing to cover all possible situations, we succeeded thanks to good relationship between customers and Feralco Environnement teams.
