Removal of suspended solids

To clean surface water and waste water by physico-chemicals process, the elimination of colloidal suspended matter is made possible by the use of coagulants.

The particles present, negatively charged, tend to repel each other and to remain in suspension. Coagulants have the effect of neutralizing these charges, to allow their agglomeration and thus to make possible the separation of the particles with water, by decantation or flotation.
